Alexander Sokolov

Mr. Sokolov was born in Moscow in 1979.

In 2002, he graduated from the Tsiolkovsky Russian State Technological University majoring in Business Economics and Management.

He started his career in the banking sector in 2002 as Expert with the Investment Projects Analysis Section of the Project Finance Department and then as Risk Management Expert of Avangard Joint-Stock Commercial Bank. In 2003–2004, he was in charge of developing the Moscow Area SME lending program for IMPEXBANK and Bank of Moscow.

In 2005, he joined National Bank TRUST being in charge of retail business risk management. In February 2006, he headed the bank’s Retail Risk Group.

Since October 2008, Mr. Sokolov holds the position of Risk Analysis Department Director of VTB 24 (JSC).

From the July of the year 2009 he is the Member of the Board.
